Whether you’re coming to relax or get into the outdoors, this is the house for you! Indoors, you’ll enjoy the lake view from the open-social floor plan of the great room.

Lake Haven is laid out wonderfully for a vacation rental. You enter into the open and inviting great room with plenty of seating around the 60 inch flat screen TV. It also leads to the wrap around deck with peak views of the lake and is complete with large patio table and extra seating. On the upper level you'll also find a well stocked kitchen with stainless steel appliances and dining for eight with two more at the counter.

Down the hall you'll find three very well-appointed bedrooms. The Primary at the very end of the hall includes a king bed, flat-screen TV, and en-suite bath with an extra-large glass shower. Downstairs the family room is great option for kids to hang out while the grown ups relax upstairs and also includes the fourth bedroom also with a king bed.

ABOUT THE AREA
Situated just east of Tahoe City on Lake Tahoe’s beautiful north shore lies one of the area’s most coveted neighborhoods– Dollar Point. The entire community resides on the lake side of the main highway, making it the perfect location for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. With a number of homes in our portfolio located within an easy walk of one another, this is the perfect place for a multi-family getaway.

In the summer, Dollar Point truly can’t be beat. For those looking for adventure, hop on the bike path that exits the community and follow the Truckee River north, or visit Tahoe City, home to everything from home grown coffee shops to lakefront fine dining, all just minutes away.

In the winter, Dollar Point offers central access to almost all of North Lake Tahoe’s premier ski areas. Palisades Tahoe (formally known as Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows), Northstar, and Homewood are all just a 20 minute drive from your Dollar Point home.

POLICIES & DISCLOSURES:
1. Maximum Day Time & Night Time Occupancy is 10, excluding children under twelve (12) years of age. Sleeping Arrangements for 9.
2. Parking for 4 vehicles. Street parking is prohibited year-round.
3. Dollar Point amenities (including swimming pool, beach, and tennis courts) are not available to renters.
4. The gas BBQ grill is only available in the Summer.
5. Due to Extreme Fire Danger – The use of ANY outdoor firepit or fireplace is strictly prohibited at any of our rental properties. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to keep our community safe from wildfires.

Luckily we were able to snag this beauty at the last minute for just a 4 night stay (unfortunately I would have loved to have stayed much longer!) The home has nice furnishings- great bedding with nice linens, thick fluffy towels, and comfortable furniture. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking utensils though we only ate in one night ( BBQ)The deck area is quite large with filtered views of the lake. I would definitely rebook Lake Haven again! Also, dealing with Tahoe Getaway was an easy experience. Just a note- the downstairs has a good sized sitting room, a bathroom with shower as well as a sauna and a separate room with a king sized bed. ( I believe the online description states bunk/ double bed- note that bed configuration is on the main level.)

We all enjoyed our time at this home. We spent more time in it than we had planned since we arrived when the worse snowfall in 50 years hit. The fireplace was wonderful. It kept the living room toasty. We made many of our meals here since driving could be dangerous at times. The kitchen was well equipped. We used saucers to enjoy the snow from the sloping driveway. I called several times for guidance and the property managers helped us promptly even with the amount of snow and power outages in the area. We were only out for a few hours. Both the street and our driveway were plowed at least daily.

Great Rental, Great Location

I love the house and the location. We stayed 7/31-8/6. A few people complained about the internet speed. It's fine (280 Mbps download, 21 Mbps upload...ok, that's a little slow, but workable). We brought up 2 SUPs and stored them in the garage. I went out every morning at 7:00 am when the lake was glass. The Dollar Point HOA charges guests $10/person per day to use the beach (9:00-1:00 or 2:00-6:00). First come, first served. It's free before and after. But, we went to Skylandia Beach. It's pretty much the same distance to either beach and Skylandia is free. The house is great, it got warm in the day (no AC), but we turned on the plentiful fans and cooled the house down easily. The filtered view is nice, but there was definitely one tree I wanted to remove. :-) Must do hikes: Eagle Rock (near Homewood), and the Rubicon (from DL Bliss to Emerald Bay and back). Both were amazing!

House was as expected, but the Direct TV satellite connection did not work at all during the one week we were there, which was disappointing, especially given the price of the rental.

YOUR STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL THE HOUSE WAS JUST FINE AND WE WOULD CONSIDER RENTING IT AGAIN EXCEPT FOR ONE SERIOUS CONCERN. THE WIFI SIGNAL WAS VERY WEEK AND SLOW. THIS WAS A PROBLEM FOR TEENAGERS USING COMPUTER GAMES AND A COUPLE ADULTS WHO WERE FRUSTRATED TRYING TO GET SOME WORK DONE VIA THE INTERNET, iT MAY BE WISE TO LOOK INTO A DIFFERENT PROVIDER BESIDES AT&T. ACCESS TO A STRONG COMPUTER SIGNAL IS IMPORTANT IN TODAY'S WORLD.

Our stay was wonderful! This is the 3rd year in this home and it suits many needs for our family. The complaint that I have was the same as last year! The master bedroom bed linens were very uncomfortable. When I looked for cotton sheets they were put away damp and I had to rewash them and the fitted sheet had a big hole. When on vacation and in the sun, it's important to me to have good quality bed linens in cotton due to too much sun, or just being too hot. The master bedroom also didn't have a way to have air at night since there is only a sliding glass door. We purchased a dowel to put in the door so that we could have some air. These items are not meant to overpower the wonderful stay we always have in Lake Haven, just recommendations to make our stay the best!

We spent 10 days at "Lake Haven" with our entire family: daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren. Tahoe is an annual event for us, and over the years we have rented several homes at Dollar Point. This home was by far the best. It is spacious with plenty of room for children and adults alike. The deck is a great space with filtered views of the lake where one can dine outside or relax with a book and a glass of wine. The kitchen is remarkably well appointed with every piece of equipment that one could possibly need. And there is a generous supply of quality pots and pans, dishes, glasses and silverware. The living room is large with tall celings with exterior views to the lake. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and the bathrooms spotless. The location within Dollar Point is just about midway between the pool/tennis area and the beach: no more than a 10 min walk to either. One can't go wrong renting this home!

The property was terrific with the exception of the beds and pillows not being comfortable for any of us. We just didn't sleep well and for that reason, wouldn't recommend this property. Other than that, it was perfect. Clean, well appointed and a lovely location.

Best Cabin at Dollar!

We've been vacationing at Dollar Point for years and continue to cabin hop. This was by far one of the best! Four spacious rooms made for a comfortable nights sleep and all with fans. The split living space was great for kids to escap and play or watch a movie. The best pro was the cleanliness. The only odd thing was carpet in the sauna (which we didn't use...but it was summer so really didn't need to).

We needed a house with three bedrooms on the main floor and this was perfect (4th bedroom was downstairs and spacious, too). Spacious, very well decorated,plenty of comfortable seating and lighting and big-screen tv, great kitchen and well-equipped. And great location at Dollar Point.

This is the best rental we've stayed in the Tahoe City area. We are a family of five and tend to have grandparents and friends stay with us. We like to cook in and the kitchen here was well equipped. Plenty of beds, bedding, towels, and space made it an easy place to stay.

Overall we enjoyed staying at this property located in a great spot with views of the lake and proximity to ski resorts and Tahoe City downtown. The house was family friendly and was in great condition. The property management staff were helpful and checkin/checkout was smooth. Their mobile app in particular was very useful.

Spacious house with a peek a boo view of the lake. Each room was created nicely, making it nice to share with friends. Every room is equal. The property had nice high ceilings so it felt you had a lot of space. The property management are very helpful with any questions.

My family and friends all loved our stay at the Lake Haven home in January in 2017. All the rooms were spacious, the house was clean and cozy and the location was very convenient to the lake, skiing, restaurants and shops. We'd love to come back and enjoy this house again!

Nice place near the lake

The house is in a nice location with filtered views of the lake. The beach is in walking distance and isn't crowded. Tennis courts near beach were always available. The furniture is comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of dishes, silverware, pots, pans and cooking utensils. There are minimal condiments ( salt, pepper, oil). The wifi is very slow and was completely out for 2 days. We had positive interactions with all but one person from Tahoe Getaways. AT&T ended up coming, 2 days after the wifi went out, and installed a new router. If you need to work using wifi, it's probably too slow. The deck wasn't cleaned off prior to our arrival.

We were a family of 6 adults and 3 children and we had a great stay at this rental. We enjoyed the proximity to Squaw/Alpine and Northstar, and the cute town of Tahoe City. We used the kitchen for every meal, and the dishes/pots/utensil supply was abundant for our usage. The accommodations were for the most part tidy. However, we did notice that the carpet may need a deep cleaning - after my 2 year old and 4 year old were walking around on the carpet, their feet were visibly dirty from the debris on the carpet. Also, this rental needs a functional trash can - the flip top on our trash can did not work.

The house was great - lots of space, clean and tastefully built and appointed. The beds were comfortable and cozy with quality linens. The furniture was modern enough and the kitchen stocked. The one downside was that it is clearly a full-time rental meaning many of the small things that you might find in a more permanently lived in house like spices or olive oil, books or videos, for instance are notably missing - so if you plan on cooking bring everything you imagine you will need, and if bad weather could lock you in (like it did with us for 36 hrs), bring something to read or watch. Otherwise the place is very nice; we would definitely consider another stay some time.

Quiet Lakeview Home

After my husband & researched and previewed several different homes, we decided to rent the Lake Haven home for a family vacation in August 2014. We had 3 other couples staying with us and loved the location of the home. The home was centrally located in a quiet neighborhood, Dollar Point. Walking distance to the private access beach as well as access to the community pool and close proximity to the bike was perfect!

A Great Family Get-away

We had a very positive experience for our week vacation with our family. This home was in a great location and well appointed. The Swim and Tennis Club was great for the kids as was the private beach. We enjoyed having the deck and barbecue for dining outside. The view of the lake from the deck was very nice. The only thing we found disappointing and uncomfortable was the fact that the home was very warm. At times it was warmer inside than out. At night when we were in bed it was very uncomfortable. There was no air circulating. One room had a floor fan but it was noisy. I think the owners would be wise to install ceiling fans in the bedrooms to circulate the air. This is a small investment that would provide a more comfortable sleeping experience for the renters. Another renter had the same experience and I have to agree with them. We had a problem with the microwave but the rental agency took care of it immediately with a loaner. I would stay here again with the hopes that there would be ceiling fans to help with the very warm inside temperature.

Great vacation home

It is easy to tell the owners love this house. It is well kept, has a well stocked kitchen, and room for both kids and adults. Lots of TV's, but no books, puzzle, kid bring your own if that is your preference. I had been concerned it might be too hot, but there were plenty of fans and effective window coverings, so we had no problem despite the heat. We would go there again!

Family reunion and wedding

Dollar Point neighborhood was the perfect location for the extended 150 family members and friends to gather for a reunion and wedding. Great proximity to all the fun Tahoe has to offer along with great restaurants. This house fit our needs perfectly - grandparents, 2 siblings with their families! Plenty of room to "get away" and not feel on top of one another. We have rented homes in many countries and throughout the US and this home was the BEST APPOINTED KITCHEN we have ever seen!
