ABOUT THE AREA:
Located on the West Shore, halfway between Homewood and Tahoe City, lies a little-known area of the West Shore, the Alpine Peak and Ward Canyon subdivision. Located about 5 miles from the lake in Ward Canyon, homes in this area offer seclusion, and easy access to Sherwood Chairlift on the backside of Palisades Alpine. This area is great for the wilderness enthusiast, mountain adventurer or someone truly looking to just escape from it all.
In the summer, you’ll find Sunnyside Resort and Marina and William Kent Shoreline are about a 5-mile drive away. William Kent Beach is situated in a wooded setting and offers picnic tables and grills with views across Lake Tahoe of the eastern shoreline. Next door, Sunnyside Resort is a favorite year-round lakeside dining option. However, guests won't need to venture far to enjoy the outdoors as great trails for hiking and mountain biking may be found just outside your door!
POLICIES & DISCLOSURES:
1. Maximum Day Time & Night Time Occupancy is 8, excluding children under twelve (12) years of age.Â
2. Parking for 4 vehicles. Street parking is prohibited year-round.
3. This property is in a high snow load area, 4WD is highly recommended.
4. There is no guarantee the Sherwood chairlift will be open early in the season and parking is restricted. Alternate access to Alpine/Palisades is available via the main base area which is a 13-mile drive (which is a shorter drive than if staying in Truckee or North Lake in King’s Beach/Tahoe Vista). Homewood Ski Area is 7.5 miles away.
