Rental, not a vacation home

Tahoe Getaways was very responsive and helpful with our rental. We contacted them a few times for a wrong door code and a broken hot tub. Both issues were solved quickly and professionally. Setting up the rental was also fairly easy. The house itself had a lot of positives and potential. The house and kitchen were well equipped and organized, the beds were comfortable, the hot tub was nice, and the neighborhood was quiet. There were only 2 of us in the house and the space was sufficient enough, but I can't imagine having more than 4 in the house (although there is a second living area and sleeping space for 8). I say this because the house felt crowded and it was hard to find a comfortable chair. The kitchen table was cramped with the 6 bar stools in the kitchen, the outdoor table also barely fit the space. This house needs new window coverings and just a few thoughtful touches, which would make it feel so much nicer. It just felt like a rental instead of a comfortable, relaxing vacation space.

Great Spot on the North Shore

This was a great spot for my family to spend the week at Tahoe. I really appreciated the size of the house and the proximity to Moon Dunes beach. Being able to literally walk down to the shore without having to stress a parking spot was a huge bonus. The property was in good shape and had all of the amenities that we required. The only thing that could have been better was the back yard. It was basically just dust, weeds and forest floor - not a place to hang out or let your kids play. Otherwise, this property met all of our needs and we would gladly stay there again in the future.

Very nice, clean, spacious home! The kitchen was very user friendly, has everything you need to make any type of meal. Very nice having a living room upstairs and family room downstairs, both with TVs. Best part was that it is only 2 minutes away from our favorite restaurant, Lanzas!

We loved this house - it has everything you need and the layout is great for 6-8 people. The front deck is a nice place to spend time during the evenings. The backyard is not landscaped so we didn’t spend time out there or on the back deck at all, but we didn’t feel we needed to with the nice front deck. The only real complaint we had was that the water for showers never got above lukewarm. This is likely an easy fix by messing with the water heater settings. We look forward to coming here again next year!

Amazing stay in Tahoe

What a lovely stay. The home was wonderful. All the amenities were 5 star. Everything went smooth. It was so close to everything.(beach, walks, Safeway, Minature Golf, and frozen Yogurt.) the weather was the best, even at 68 to 74 degrees it was very warm. Be careful you can get sunburned in the high altitude. We all would recommend the home to anyone and we will come back again. Loved all of it. Even the beds were comfy and the pillows. It was a little warm up stairs but there were fans available and that helped. Loved Sand Harbor too it was about 10 or 15 min. drive. I give it a 5 star or more. I have already recommended it to a friend and she has made a call on it.

This is a beautiful cabin in a wonderful location with great amenities. The only negative of our stay was that the beds and pillows were uncomfortable and no one in my group was able to get a good night sleep. Other than this one thing it was an amazing cabin.

We really enjoyed the house and how close it was to everything, beaches, town, restaurants. We liked the split level living rooms, one for the adults and one for kids. Great to have a fenced yard for our dog. Nicely furnished and updated home, comfortable and enjoyed the front deck.

Everything was fantastic! The cabin had everything that you needed at your fingertips. And if you thought you were missing something, the staff actually answered the phone and helped you right away! It was such a relief to work with such a professional company. We have been staying in Tahoe for 30+ yrs right down the street, and our family has just gotten too big so we needed to add a space. I am so glad we found Tahoe Getaways and hope to be able to include them every summer hereafter! Location of the property is a must see as well! Walking distance to beach, Safeway Grocery store, and a wonderful park for the children. Wish this place had 6 stars so I could give it that!

We had 7 people (4 adults and 3 kids) in this house for a week and had a great time. It was clean, well maintained, and close to the beach. The upstairs got a little warm during the daytime (we were there 4th of July week) even though we kept the curtains closed, but the downstairs bedroom and living area remained very comfortable. It would have been nice to have a few extra fans for the upstairs bedrooms. We enjoyed the fire pit in the cool evenings and being between Kings Beach and Tahoe City so we could enjoy activities in both locations, Music on the Beach, Farmer's Market, boating, etc. I definitely recommend this home to stay in at Lake Tahoe and will be back again.

Beautiful home and very well kept. Kitchen was well stocked with cookware. The only issue we had was there was a very strong undefinable odor throughout the home. We believe it was related to the gas fireplace/furnace.

We really like this little place and have been staying here for several years now. It doesn't seem to be kept up as nicely as it used to be. There were only two kitchen towels and three wine glasses. The kitchen has some VERY old pots and pans that have seen better days. We usually go out to dinner or get take out, but sometimes it's nice to be able to cook breakfast. We keep coming back because it's a sweet little cabin and we love the neighborhood. Also, it is close to our friends cabin down the street. So the location is perfect. Staying with Tahoe Getaways is easy and stress free, and they are always very accommodating to our needs which is why we keep coming back. Highly recommend them!

Wonderful house! This was very comfortable for our party and four adults and three children. The kids loved the bunk bed room and having a separate family room on the bottom level with their room gave them their own play space. The kitchen was nicely outfitted with good cooking equipment. Also enjoyed the location, a quiet street and only a five minute walk to Moon Dunes beach. We hope to rent again on a future trip.

Overall this was a nice rental. The hot tub seemed like it was brand new. The yard needs some serious help. For the price, I would have thought that some landscaping would be in order. Also, the master bathroom shower was horrible. It is a rain-shower head but the water was shooting everywhere instead of straight down so you could not get the soap/shampoo off your body. We used the shower in the hallway. There was also some weather stripping hanging off the patio door which made the door a little hard to close. The home is in a great location & the walk to Moon Dune beach is very convenient. Kitchen, appliances & grill were terrific. General set up of the house was really nice.

We stay here several times a year. It is in a nice neighborhood and close to everything. The only negative, we noticed this time that the downstairs shower doesn't drain well at all. Also the water heater was set at a lukewarm setting so our showers were basically chilly. The floors in the house weren't very clean. I spilled some water and when I went to wipe it up the rag was practically black with dirt. Normally this home is spotless. We always bring our own pillows because theirs are prickly with feathers sticking out..ouch! The last thing I will say is there are a lot of tall weeds in the front yard area. It looks uncared for, which is a shame because the other places in the neighborhood are very well maintained. Otherwise we really love this little place and plan to come back again.

House was in a great location, well equipped. They need to update the pillows and bedding sets. Their was an apparent musty smell in the house that didn't go away for the weekend we were there. There are no TV's in any of the bedrooms. They should add more in the backyard, just dirt. Overall nice home, but probably would reduce the nightly rate.

We stayed at this house for a short girls weekend and the house had everything we needed! The house is nicely appointed, well maintained, and the beds were comfy! It is a short walk to Moon Dunes beach, but I recommend driving if you are carrying stuff. Safeway is about a half mile away, Sand Harbor 20 min drive, Tahoe City 15 min. It is hot in the summer, so I'd suggest bringing a fan as the inside of the house does not have AC and it did get very hot indoors! The only exception to this is the downstairs where the bunks are. That area is super cool, but the top floor where the bedrooms and living area is, was a bit hot. There was also tons of pollen on the deck so we didn't use the chairs or bbq because we didn't want to clean the entire area beforehand. The kitchen has mostly everything you'd need for cooking, there is plenty of parking (you can also park in the garage). Just an overall nice stay and I would recommend to any of my friends! Also, the rental company is extremely easy to work with!

The Agatam Retreat is very well maintained. The kitchen has all the things we needed. The bedrooms are spacious, the bathrooms were clean, the water was hot and the overall condition of the house is excellent. The owners have taken efforts to have lot of utensils and the master bedroom even had a mac for us to use. We had a wonderful get together in the spacious family room. Safeway is close and the walk to the lake is 5 minutes. What a relaxing place this is. We had a great time and I highly recommend this property.

The home is in a great location and it had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our time in the home and would definitely stay here again. First time at this rental. Would stay again. Liked the location and the accomodations had everything we needed. Liked the floor plan. We worked with Tahoe Getaways last year with success and again this year. Very professional and easy to work with. A note to the management company: The drain was sluggish in the bath on lower level. Could not latch the locks on back door and double doors at deck.

Agatam retreat was just the right place for our extended family to getaway for a weekend. It housed four families and a dog comfortably. Kids loved the bunk beds downstairs. The spacious family ,kitchen and dining area gave us room to spend time together in one place. The place was clean and well maintained. Its proximity to the beaches, safe residential neighborhood, and in the middle of the woods ambience was very attractive.

Great accommodation ! We visited lake Tahoe last year with family from UK. We stayed on this wonderful property twice last year. This is a huge and very beautiful house to stay. It has a ready-to-go kitchen and utilities. We loved the sit-outs in the front to spend our evenings. The big living room is well equipped for playing games or watching movies. The shops (Safeway) are very near, we preferred to walk every time breathing fresh air of Tahoe. Like wise, it is at a walk-able distance from Kings Beach. So, it was very convenient to get into sports activities. The neighborhood is very calm and quite and we really enjoyed the ambiance to read books and listen to music. We would love to go and stay any time in this pristine condition house.
