Recently remodeled, this stylish and architecturally designed vacation home is located in a very private setting, within a short walk to the Northstar golf course clubhouse. Multi levels offer separate living and sleeping spaces, making it ideal for large groups or multiple families.

The main living area is half of a flight up from the main entry and offers plenty of windows and an open concept floor plan, making this spacious home feel even bigger. The main living room enjoys a large side deck with an outdoor dining set and BBQ, a cozy fireplace and a large flat-screen TV. The updated kitchen offers dining for 8 and a view into the family room which can also act as a sixth bedroom if needed. It has a pull-out couch and an attached full bath, plus direct access to the back patio area.

Upstairs, the spacious Primary bedroom awaits with a king bed and ensuite bath, complete with double vanity and large shower with dual shower heads. Heading downstairs, guests will appreciate that the second Primary bedroom sits on the entry level landing, separated from the remaining three bedrooms and also offers a full bathroom and access to the outdoors.

We have been staying at the Basque Lodge for a number of years and we are so pleased with such a beautiful house and area. The golf course is right across the street and the Rec Center is outstanding. We so look forward to our time here, so relaxing and spacious for our two families.

the house is in a great location and the shuttle bus service to NorthStar is fantastic. we were 7 adults and I don't think this house would be very comfortable with more than 8. two bedrooms are small and one is a sofa bed in a room off the kitchen. the two master suites are GREAT.

Perfect home for family vacation

We loved staying in Basque lodge. It was very clean with luxurious linens and towels. There were so many rooms and bathrooms, so everyone had space to spread out. The kitchen was very well equipped, and we were easily able to make meals for the 10 of us. The house has a very cozy and warm feel, so it was just right for relaxing while the teens went to the village to hang out at Starbucks and ice skate! Having the shuttle available anytime is wonderful! So many nice trails and paths to go for walks nearby too. Would definitely recommend this house to other large families or groups of friends. Hope to come back again next year!

We had two families vacationing together and there was plenty of room for everyone. I personally enjoyed the close proximity of Northstar Golf course. The Northstar Rec Center was outstanding.

Easy peasy. From the moment you walk in the door you know its going to be a great vacation. The rooms are spacious, clean and inviting. Communication with the propeety management was helpful and efficient. We had 3 couples and 1 almost 2 yr old with us, the home had plenty of entertaining space. The disappointment waa the back yard area is a high hill which I couldnt tell from the photos so it made it alittle difficult to take our young grandson out to explore with his dump truck. But the older kids that visited from another rental had a blast climbing. We also didn't have room to set up the horse shoe game which is must for this family. We didnt want to ruin the nice vegetation surrounding to home. But this didnt stop us from enjoying out time at this wonderful Northstar Rental. Thank You!

Great location for our family getaway. The house was very spacious for three families. Shuttle service to the recreation area was a huge plus. The kitchen was supplied with sufficient appliances and pots/pans for cooking. We had a minor issue with the refrigerator, but management had a quick response.

2nd year 3 family ski vacation at Bosque house. A lot room for 7 adults and 6 kids. Shuttle service to the resort as always excellent. Mother Nature helped with 12” of new snow over the week. House comes with several board games and has 2 lg flat screen TVs. Great house for family time. WiFi needed to b rebooted several times through the week.

Our Thanksgiving weekend at Basque Lodge was an excellent choice. The house was spacious, well appointed, and very clean. As it is multi storied, it has a nice privacy factor when housing various families. Everyone was pleased. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pans, small appliances...everything we needed for making dinner for a large group. It is a home we would recommend and a home we will request if we rent at Northstar again.

We had a wonderful time in a beautiful spacious house at Northstar. The house was clean and very comfortable and was well suited to accommodate out two families. The availability of the great Recreation Center and close proximity of the golf course made it a perfect destination vacation. But the added extra is being so close to Lake Tahoe and the beauty of the mountains. Fantastic time for all of us.

Wonderful house. 3 families stayed a week where we saw 4' of snow fall. The house was largest enough that we had enough room to spread out. The shuttle service was great! The mtn was awesome. It was a trip that we will never for get.

Property description was very accurate. The prior renters' comments should also be heeded on the problems with this rental. But from the experience my family and I had, the problems noted were minor. This property was wonderful, had plenty of space, had excellent shuttle and rec room amenities. Shuttle was more than nice. Not as convenient as ski-in ski-out, but still awesome and way more cost effective than ski in ski out. Will definitely use again for big family gatherings.

We housed the bride and her family for a Ritz wedding. It was a fantastic place allowing privacy for each of several groupings of family members. The house was equipped with kitchen gadgets of every fashion allowing us to create some culinary masterpieces. Lots of baths allowed for no bottlenecks during final wedding preparations. Lovely area and the house seems to be well maintained and managed. A lost dog appeared at the house and security was there in minutes to save it from the many coyotes who roam the area. An awesome stay that added to a storybook wedding.

The Basque Lodge was perfect for our two families that stayed there. Very well kept and comfortable. There were places for everyone to enjoy some privacy as well as getting together for meals and fun time. The NPOA REC Center was wonderful, we never realized how enjoyable North Star could be in the summer. We all had a wonderful time.

Everything was great except for 3 things. In the kitchen they had a garbage can the size that I would put in a bathroom. For 12 people that obviously didn't work so we ended up using the big can in the garage. The shower next to the kitchen did not get hot. We were told there would be enough towels for each person staying and there were not. Thankfully I brought a few extra.

The perfect property for us to stay in with friends whilst we were all in the Tahoe area in Jan 2016. Great house, very warm and welcoming. My only constructive feedback would be that the house needs a room or facility to dry damp ski gear. Our kids were learning to snow board and so had damp gear every day - and there was no where in the house to dry it...

We enjoyed our week-long stay in this beautiful house that comfortably accommodated all 12 of our family members. The children even had a large space to set up their train set in front of the fire place. It was very cozy. The hill behind the house was perfect for sledding, and the bus that shuttled us to and from Northstar Village every day was most convenient. We look forward to returning this year.

This house is indeed very clean and spacious! Each family has our own space and bathroom which was really nice. Kids could play day in and day out behind the house among the trees and we adults could see them. Brought our own games for the young children so they helped. Loved the shuttle service that took us all to the village daily! Beds are OK…would suggest a plywood under the mattress in two rooms for my adult children kept on rolling into the middle, smile. With this needed attention, I give this site 5 stars!! Would love to rent it again someday.

We loved the Basque Lodge which we rented for a family ski vacation. Almost across the street from the Northstar childcare center and opposite the golf course. (The snow was MIA except on the high mountain so the kids could get out and run!) The new renovation was beautiful and the kitchen was super for our cooking family. Many thanks!

You're never sure what to expect based on just pictures you see online - and we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived! The exterior of the house is quintessential Tahoe. The indoor space & layout was conducive to entertaining large groups. We were happy with the number of suites (bedrooms with their own bathrooms), plus kids rooms with bunk/trundle and pull out bed in TV room. We were happy with the materials supplied (in the kitchen, towlels in bathrooms, etc). The only negative: no soap in shower (I mistakenly assumed there would be some, though I did bring my own shampoo). I also noticed a few things that needed some maintanence: a toilet lid was wobbly & fell right off in main floor bathroom; there were cobwebs & dust in my bathroom, which I think was the main master; also a light fixture was loose in my bathroom. But those are minor things, that I think could be solved by an owners visit. We had a great time and hope to rent in the same area next time, and would even be open to the same house. We felt it was a great price for the area - and LOVED the shuttle access to the village at Northstar. Thank you!!!

Basque Lodge was perfect for our group of 2 families. There were 10 of us and we never felt cramped. It's got a very homey feel and kitchen was fully stocked with every appliance and tool you could ever need which was great since we love to cook big dinners when we are up in Tahoe. We stayed at a place over new years and it was obviously an investment property that no one ever lived in and it was so sterile and uninviting (Ridgeline Retreat, don't stay there!). The shuttle to Northstar is also a great perk. Couldn't be happier with our stay, look forward to coming back next year.

Perfect House for Christmas Ski Week

The house was just as described. This property is in a pretty area. We had 11 total guests and the house easily sleeps 12. One minor downside: the dining table really only has space for 6-8. Even with the extra table leaf, the room wouldn't hold 12 for dinner. However, there's a game table in the family room that seats 4, so we accommodated everyone for Christmas dinner. No problem. The best aspect of this house is its location. We could roll out of bed and be on the mountain in 30 minutes. The shuttle comes down the street often, so there's no waiting. Northstar Village is so close by I could shuttle the different kids back and forth multiple times a day with ease. We found that the property management provided timely and thorough instruction, and the house was clean upon arrival and stocked as promised. If you want a large comfortable house for a ski vacation, then this is a great property.

Our stay at Basque Lodge at Northstar was wonderful. We had 8 adults and 1 toddler staying there for 5 days and there was plenty of room; could easily have accommodated more. The tri-level split layout of the house worked quite well for our group. The kitchen is well stocked as far as cooking and dining needs. The double ovens came in handy for Thanksgiving cooking. The refrigerator stopped working properly, but the situation was remedied quickly with an additional smaller refrigerator brought in. If it had been warmer weather, the additional refrigerator would not have worked out as well as it did. The resort shuttle picks up and drops off right at the front door and is easily accessible. What a treat that was for the snowboarders in our group. The house is located within walking distance of the resort shops if you aren't carrying a lot of gear. If future plans take us back to the Lake Tahoe area, we will definitely stay here again.

It was a perfect place to stay. Having two master suites, 3 additional bedrooms, and 4.5 baths was perfect. We thought the house/lodge was fantastic. Also, the location and the bus that arrived at our doorstep was great. The staff at Tahoe Resorts were very professional and helpful. Great Experience overall!!

The house is in an excellent location and well maintained. A few things detracted form the stay. The two master bed mattresses need replacing, badly. The water-based heating system is way too noisy during the night and kept everyone awake. otherwise a great house,

we had three families and each couple had there own bedroom with bath. THe kids had there own room too. If have overnight extra there is plenty room for blow up bed. Space is well used with seperate rooms for watching movies. Great place
