The home was a real dream, we loved it and the well appointed kitchen was a delight to cook for the family! The fire place uses real wood and gave the entire home a magnificent ambiance! I will come back and rent this home everytime if possible!

Beautiful, high end home, nicely furnished and comfortable for a couple of families. You cannot beat the location- the shuttle stops literally outside the front door and the drive to the Village is about 4 minutes. We were a group of two families plus two extra kids (10 total) and the house was very comfortable for our group. Loved being able to park in the garage, our SUVs fit even with roof pods. Plenty of towels and extra blankets were very much appreciated! Our kids loved the hot tub and foosball table. A couple of points of feedback- -The sectional sofa is getting worn out, back cushions are squishy and some cushions are ripped, probably needs to be replaced. The dishwasher is also old and doesn’t clean well. The detergent compartment door is broken. -Could use a few higher quality knives or at least a good knife sharpener -We paid a lot for the house for three nights, yet there was no spray to clean off counters, maybe half a roll of paper towels, one box of tissues, no laundry detergent, and too few dish towels. If we were coming for a week I would have brought more supplies but I feel at the price point we are paying there should be enough supplies provided to make it through a regular weekend. I know Tahoe Getaways provides just enough to get guests started, but it was a stingy amount. Please consider being a little more generous with the supplies. We would rent this house again. Tahoe Getaways has great homes and service. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

We are a family of four and stayed in this house for a week. You can’t beat the location! Shuttle is working like a clock - we never waited more then 5 mins for it and it drops you off 2 mins walking from the lift. The house is very spacious and well stocked. We’ll definitely come again.

Overall - very nice place. A few items that should be addressed immediately for a house marketed as a nice home and paying a good rate. 1 - Have sharp knives - this would be a non-starter in the future. 2 - For a week's rental - have ample supplies (consumables - like soap/dish/papertowels/tp/detergent) for a week. Your property mgmt company can do this and coordinate for each visit. For the money - this is a no brainer. 3 - pillows are old and should be replaced, bedding should be updated 4 - the dryer takes forever to dry - (is something wrong with it) 5 - why does the heat need to stay at 55, the furnace is very loud (should be serviced or replaced with a low noise one) 6 - first floor shower pipes are loud - should be looked at 7 - TV instructions would be helpful - what services are available etc. 8 - get you high speed internet at highest speed and have your prop mgmt co - test it as part of their todo list 9 - put desks in the bedrooms

As we prepare the home for each arrival, we supply a starter pack of consumables (toilet paper, detergent, paper towels, etc..), which should help for the first couple of days of your stay. We do send out a recommended packing list prior to arrivals informing guests of this and suggesting that they bring their own or purchase some during their stay. The other aspects of the property that was listed, such as the sheets, pillows, and lack of desks in the bedrooms, is certainly personal preference but we appreciate the helpful feedback!

My family and I absolutely loved our time at Indian Hills. The house was bright and open yet cozy. The kitchen was fully equipped to cook large meals. We used the bbq as well. Hot tub was great. Easy walk to Northstar resort. I would highly recommend Indian Hills to any large family and we cannot wait to return! Thank you!

The house has a very nice open layout with a good mix of beds for sleeping arrangements. A few things... The dishes are on the cabinet above the floor on shelve/cabinets that are stuck and can't move to slide out your needed dishes. The house doesn't carry a few essential items. For us it was oil and a cheese grater. These are all things that are annoying but not deal breakers. The best thing this house could do is add a bear box. Finding someone within our group to volunteer to drive to the resort and take the trash, come back and then pack and leave is an incredible inconvenience - especially when the snow is coming down hard and all you want to do is make it over Donner Pass before traffic hits. Please get a bear box for this house.

We appreciate this feedback. We have delivered a cheese grater since your departure! Future guests should keep in mind disposable items like oil, salt and pepper are not items we inventory in between each renter so come prepared! You can check out what is provided in our properties by reading through our Pre-Trip Checklist. We agree- we would love if a bear box was an option for this home, but unfortunately the HOA restricts it and only a few grandfathered-in houses have this amenity. Future renters should know the trash drop off in Northstar is a quick 5 minute drive from the home.

Really a great house for a multi-family gathering with children. Beautiful setting. Beautiful house. On the down side, there were a couple of issues related to preparation of the house. We did not arrive until after dark. Although the heat was on, there were no lights on, either inside or outside the house. A bit difficult, in the dark simply finding the house, as there were no house numbers visible. Once we found the house, we needed a flashlight to find the lockbox and open it to get the key. If the outside lights had been on, that would not have been a problem. Once we got in, everything was fine, although the latch on the front door worked intermittently. It seemed like a good gust of wind could blow the door open. Use of the deadbolt was required to firmly latch the front door. It should also be noted that there is no Bear Box at this house, so all garbage has to be taken to the community dumpsters at the entrance to Northstar. This requires the Guest access card, which then must be returned to the house. This complicates satisfying the 10am check out requirement when leaving.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay! We apologize if the outdoor lights were not left on for you. We typically do ensure at least one light outside is on for our renter's arrival. It seems we prepared your home during the day and must have flipped the outdoor light switch the wrong way. Since this light is a photocell, it only illuminates at night and must have accidentally turned off instead of on. That said, we appreciate the feedback- we love discovering circumstances that help us to improve and we surely take it to heart!

I hosted a reunion of 11 friends here and we absolutely loved it. The house is beautiful and well-equipped. It also happens to be *the very first shuttle stop*, which means you get a seat on the way to the mountain and are the first ones off the bus on the way home. We can't wait to stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay at Indian Hills. This was one of the first stops with the NorthStar shuttle and loved the front door drop off. Two things negative about the home 1) You have to remove all garbage from the home and drive it to a dumpster before checkout. We couldn't find the dumpster, so a map left at the house would help. 2) the hot top has a lock which required me to boil hot water to take off the lock and boil more watch to put latch back onto to the hottub to lock.

Thank you for so much your review. We do ask that our renters dispose of their trash at the community dumpsters prior to departure. If any future renters have trouble finding them, we are available 7 days a week and are happy to email over a map or help direct you. We appriciate you helping to keep our homes safe from bears or critters!

Also for cleanliness and security purposes, we do lock all of our hot tubs. While it is rare, if these locks are exposed to rain prior to extremely cold overnight temperatures, they can freeze. We are glad you figured out how to resolve this issue. Future guests can call our office for assistance if needed!

We loved the house location and layout. Perfect for 2 families. Would love to rent this property again but there was one issue we had. The refrigerator did not keep food cold. The ice maker didn't work, the freezer did not keep ice cream, popsicles etc. frozen, so we lost all of it. The interior of the fridge didn't keep food cold. Consequently we lost some food. We did call the property manager and they did come out but said that the fridge did work. This property is awesome except for that one issue.

This amazing mountain home did not disappoint! It fit my family of 8 with room to spare. The kitchen was amazing and well appointed and there were games galore for kids and adults, including Fusbol! We were at Northstar for a family wedding and this cabin is only a couple of minutes from the village. Great, great place!

Out of all the ski houses I have rented over the years, this is the best place I have ever stayed. Well maintained and appointed. The only thing that wasn't 'the best' was having to take a shuttle. That is me being extremely nit picky and comparing it to a ski-in ski-out. The shuttle was extremely quick, clean and courteous.

We loved our stay at Indian Hills. Plenty of room for the family to hang out together, cook together, play games together, and a comfortable bed for all 10 of us! We also loved the location (close to the Village), and the shuttle service is amazing! Our only request for a return trip would be for hotter water. Several of us ended up with luke warm showers. :( All else was perfect!

Great location near the village and a wonderful house. We've stayed in several houses in the area and this one is perfect for larger groups/families. Hot tub was crucial after the day on the mountain, great gathering area with a real fireplace, wonderful kitchen amenities and comfy beds. The master suite even has heated bathroom floor tiles :)

This home is even better than we expected from the pictures. Everything in the home is very high quality and it easily accommodates 14. The hot tub was large and very clean. The Northstar sports club is like the Disneyland of sports clubs - everything you can imagine and more. Finally Northstar is perfectly located - 5 miles from Lake Tahoe without all the tourist congestion and high pricing on the lake.

Overall, the house was beautiful and located perfectly on Northstar property. It was decently clean upon arrival though I feel we left it in a cleaner state upon departure. It was accommodating and comfortable for our group in terms of space and amenities. The main issues we had with the home were as follows: (1) The heater did not work Thermostat did work in fan mode though so it was able to get a little warm. Since it happened to be a colder summer weekend especially at night, that made things a bit uncomfortable. (2) The Jacuzzi water level was extremely low upon arrival. Since it was cold, we only used the Jacuzzi a little bit. Also the Jacuzzi water temperature seemed relatively low (70s) for a hot tub. (3) Most importantly, the temperature of the freezer was insufficient. It was more like fridge than a freezer. We had a lot of items like meats and ice cream that went to waste. So that was pretty sad. Since the freezer was still cold (like a fridge), we didn't realize this until coming home on Saturday evening, but by that time, many items were wasted.

This was a very nice rental house. We enjoyed it very much for the Tough Mudder weekend. The hot tub was great to relax after the event. The kids loved the foosball table. The only thing we would have like to have been able to use was some outdoor seating. There is not a table or any chairs to sit on outside. Other then that, it was great.

This house had almost everything! Beautiful view, spa, fireplace, games and SPACE! The whole family enjoyed everything. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and utensils. The only thing we wished was better internet and not because we wanted it for surfing the internet but because we have a tradition of watching a Christmas movie on Christmas and the internet was so slow we couldn't stream it to watch the movie. Otherwise we could have cared less about being on the internet after all it was a Vacation! Everything was just wonderful! Thank you!

Rented the Indian Hills house at Northstar for a weekend of DH Mt. Biking and relaxing with friends. The house was perfect to fit everyone comfortably in rooms/ beds. The house over-all was spacious and the spa on the back deck helped the sore muscles each day after riding hard. The only very small issue (but not a show stopper) is the rear deck is pretty small. Basically the spa and bbq grill take much of the space. Regardless, was a great house and location. Would rent there again as well as recommend to others. The Tahoe Getaways folks were friendly and courteous. And a great help with getting us in a little early so that we could unload and go riding the day of check-in.

Overall our extended family enjoyed this property. It was as described. We had 6 adults and 5 children. We had good service. Only negatives were small deck with no place to sit outside and no a/c. Hot tub was enjoyed. Had lots of activities,either or site or nearby. We did not use the shuttle large open first floor was great. Only 2 guest pass cards made it a little difficult at times. There might be a better way to identify guests eligible to use property owners amenities. There is distinction between NPOA (North Star property owners association) and north star resort.

We were very happy with the property. I would say the only negative was the very large TV in the master suite that wasn't hooked up to cable (Direct TV). Both of the cable boxes were very outdated, but we tried hooking them up with no luck. You really shouldn't advertise a 42-46 inch TV when it doesn't work. Like I stated before, we wouldn't hesitate going back to this property.

The house was a great space and a perfect size for two families of four. Our main issue is that the downstairs bedroom with the king is very cold and does not heat up even with the heat on. When the heat is turned up the upstairs became too hot. The location was perfect and the shuttle was extremely convenient with little kids and the amount of gear required to ski. The home was very clean and organized. There was not any bath soap or shampoo so make sure to bring your own for bathing. The management company was extremely responsive to all of our questions and requests and we appreciated that especially over the Christmas and New Years holiday week.
